Games Night

First blog post!  In the next few months I hope to be able to keep you all up to date with all the new adventures taking place in my life.  I am so thankful that God is allowing this dream to become a reality!  I look forward to serving the Lord in a different country, and eagerly await discovering what is all in store for my future!  As you follow along you may (if you have not already) begin to realize just how much I appreciate the works of J.R.R.Tolkien (hence the large cover photo of the shire and the blog name).

Up until this point I have been busy raising funds for the trip. The biggest event so far was a games night on Saturday. Many people helped in organizing this event, and donating items for a silent auction which took place during the party.  It was a smashing success! I am blessed with so many supportive family members and friends, who are helping make this trip possible!

Some photos from the evening.....

With the help of a friend I made this poster...The flag of PNG

The games were enjoyed by all!

The pictures below were sent from my Uncle to share with people at the party...

After the games were over and I was back at home, I could not help but thank the Lord for blessing me with this opportunity, and for the willingness my friends and family have to support me!

I look forward to sharing all my adventures with you over the next few months through this blog!

Countdown: 15 days! Praise the Lord!

Quote of the day:  Still 'round the corner there may wait, a new road or a secret gate.
